Round 11 Preview Perth vs West Perth

Wednesday, May 25, 2016 - 10:00 AM by Andrew Owen

Fresh off the bye Perth return to action this week when they take on West Perth at Lathlain Park on Saturday.

The Falcons were impressive last week when they inflicted a 22-point defeat to the reigning premiers Subiaco.

The Demons and West Perth met back in round two this season with the Falcons running away with the game in the last quarter to win by 41 points.

Perth does not have a good record against West Perth.  Their last victory was back in round 18, 2011 when they defeated the Falcons by 29-points at HBF Arena.

Their last victory at Lathlain was over ten years ago when they won by 22-points in round nine of the 2004 season.  Since then these teams have played 27 times with West Perth winning on 22 occasions, the Demons four and one draw

After getting through a second consecutive game in the reserves and with an extra week off Perth captain Dene White could be in line for a return to the league team.

In the reserves both teams have only won two games for the season and sit seventh and eighth respectively on the table with the Demons narrowly ahead by 0.18%.

In the colts Perth still remain unbeaten and on top of the ladder while the Falcons are in eighth position.

Bounce down is at 2:15pm, following Reserves at 11:30am and Colts at 9:00am.
